If your review is up to journalistic quality, requires little editing to fit our house style, will stand the test of time we will very likely publish it in one of these 15 categories. There it will stay, perhaps for a very long time, as a record of what is going on in the world from the beginning of the new millennium.
If you have sent us a review that does not fit our criteria to be published in one of the 15 sections, either because it is on another subject or because it would require quite a bit of editing to fit our house style, but which we still think rather good, then we may put in on our IN THE ETHER pages, lightly edited only. Undoubtedly some of the best writing will be published there so keep an eye on these pages!
As with print journalism, we will not be able to use a percentage of reviews sent to us. Although we cannot enter into correspondence with contributors of reviews, if we cannot use your piece we will eventually send you a brief e-mail saying so. If we cannot use it please do not be disheartened. Try posting it elsewhere on the internet on a bulletin board that is not edited covering the same subject.
This site is very much a showcase for writers. There is no payment for material used. Rather the reward is being published to a worldwide audience without being commissioned. Editors from around the world will be looking for journalistic talent here. Once you have submitted a review you can register free with us as a freelance writer or journalist so that editors can contact you if they like your work. On the left you can click to register FREE.
HOW TO SUBMIT COPY
1) Write your review on a word processor. Copy it to your pasteboard and paste it into the text box at the bottom of this page. The box will not accept it in its original file format only as pasted text. Please do not send us files attached to e-mails. We delete file attachments unopened.
2) Include at the top of your review the title of the piece and your name.
A review should be between 50-750 words in length, if possible. There is a limit of about a 1000 words that the box will accept as pasted text. A beer review is one that could typically be short, 50 words, an art show review would be longer.
We can only take English language copy.
3) Please read the Copyright Notice below. It is very important. By submitting written material you confirm that you have read it and agree to its terms.
